At 10.19, Marian Crowe stopped having a future and began having an archive.
The status did not change when Oliver first reached the final signature page.
It paused because his solicitor submitted one last proposed exception through the controlled channel. The request created an amendment window, not an oral side deal.
Oliver wanted to use “from Marian Crowe” as a line in his personal biography.
The phrase would not appear on a book cover, his note said. It could appear on websites, festival biographies and future publisher material.
It would still turn the retired name into a future commercial credential under one person's control.
My solicitor asked whether I wished to trade that exception for immediate completion.

Saltmere and Larkspur remained permanently separate work.

The administrator issued identical effectiveness notices and permanent archive references to the publisher and both solicitors.
I received my certified package, not Oliver's private legal file.
There was no transfer of Marian Crowe to me.
There was no transfer to him or Pippa.
The name had stopped being a contested future asset.
It had become a limited record of work we had actually completed.
